Free Moo Cards

Even though I just ordered Moo cards through Flickr, I can't pass up a chance to get some FREE ones! http://www.moo.com/livejournal/ All you have to do is make Moo Cards a friend, then you can get a free 10 pack of cards, either text or pics from your scrapbook.

E2a: Since I've been through this now, I can tell you the following: It's legit -- no surprise costs for shipping or anything. You don't have to list your LJ on your card, or have the logo. Same with the Flickr cards, the logo is defaulted to yes, but just uncheck it, and you're good to go. High res. pics work best. These are about 1/2 the height of reg. business cards -- they make great tags for swaps and an interesting way to exchange info. They fit into the little Altoid gum tins or the Starbucks after coffee tins. (I'm a spaz and ordered a case from splatgirl.)

This is all I have time for today. I don't think John meant for me to get a wicked migraine when he said yesterday that he wished I would rest all day (Monday), but there you have it.

Stamp Scans: Dutch Boy & Girl

Since the poll is in a 3-way tie at the moment, I chose the Dutch boy and girl in honor of Spring. These are medium-quality, since the paper and ink I used didn't get along so well; but, like I said before, for freebies, they're not bad. I will get much better paper and try it again, if anyone wants to trade.

Click on either picture to go to the full-size version on Flickr. You may use these in your personal crafts, but may not sell the images or anything made with them, or post them on the web.

Coming Soon...

Maybe even tomorrow. I've spent the better part of the evening stamping some of these and scanning them. I might need to get even better paper and try again, but some of my first attempts will be posted for sharing (for freebies, they're pretty good). I'm thinking of doing them semi-weekly (maybe 2x per week). I have ink all over my hands and under my nails, from cleaning them before & after.

ETA: Yup, these scans would definitely need to be redone for a really high quality image, which I'll do if anyone wants to arrange a trade.

Here's a quick poll to help me get started. (Note that there is no "I don't care" answer. I'm figuring if you don't care at all, you just won't vote.)

LUSH!

I am indebted, or not, to [info]hellomokona for spreading the word that a LUSH store is finally opening up here, at Somerset (Macy's side, 3d floor). [The "not" is because I might be tempted to spend too much money.]

She tells me there is a grand opening event on Saturday 3 February, from 2 to 5 PM and the first 200 people to RSVP at 248-458-1690 can get a free goodie bag. I signed up! Wish I could do it multiple times, because I know a few bath fiends, one of whom lives on the other side of the state, far away from LUSH.
